Quarantine Challenge - Making Origamis

 

Today i wanted to challenge myself by making origamis.I made a origami kunai knife.

A piece of paper

Scissors

Cellar Tape

Last Week - Making Cookies

 

Last week i made cookies with my mum and my sister.

Ingredients

200g Tararua Butter

1 Cup Chelsea White and Soft Brown sugar

2 Eggs

2 Tsp Vanilla Essence

3 Cups Edmonds Flour

Pinch of salt

1 Tsp Edmonds Baking Powder

2 Cups Chocolate Chips

Instruction:

Preheat oven to 180°C bake and grease or line two large baking trays with baking paper.

Melt Tararua Butter, then add Chelsea White Sugar and Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar and cream these together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla then use a spoon or spatula to mix in the dry ingredients.

Roll into medium sized balls and place on prepared trays. They shouldn't spread too much so flatten slightly. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until lightly browned around the edges.

Leave to cool on trays for a couple of minutes, before transferring to a wire cooling rack.

About Exponents

Today I will tell you about exponents.

Exponents is like a number on top of a number. you could say 2 to the power of 2 or 2x2 to know the answer.If someone said "What is 3 to the power of 3?" 3 to the power of 3 is the same as 3 x 3 x 3 which is 27.This could help with some bedmas work.

What was hard? trying to remember what exponents was.

Tokyo Olympics 2021 Mascots

 Walt Make a blog about the Tokyo Olympics Mascots

 They were made by Taniguchi Ryo. It was made to advertise the olympics for more people to watch the olympics.Someity represents the Paralympics and Physichal strength.Miraitowa means future.Miraitowa's body color is blue and white.Someity's body color is pink and white.

What was hard was trying to find out what does the Mascots name's meaning 

Whats next? Blogging about how canoe sprints has changed in 100 years.

Rockets Test

 For our rocket launch today the rockets blasted off but did not go very far, as they spun around in random directions. The wind was very high today.

The launch went really well, the rockets didn’t fail to launch and there were no issues with the equipment.

What I noticed is that the rockets did not fly straight up. This could be due to the angle of the launcher not being perfectly straight. I also think that the wings played a role in how the rocket moved through the air. I think I could improve this by changing the wings and making sure they are more solid and aligned correctly.

My next steps are to work on my wing designs to make it more stable and I want to also add a lid because this will hopefully help with the Aerodynamics. I will probably use Youtube to do a bit of research on what makes a good rocket wing.

Wits

 Why we use wits?We use wits to get out of fights or getting called out to have a mocking battle that goes wrong.Wits stands for walk away for when you get called out you walk away and it will look like the bully is talking to no one,Ignore is kinda like walk away but you ignore what the person is saying even if he pissing you off you still should ignore or you will call him out and have a fight and other stuff that is bad,Tell someone is when you tell a friend a bout it and decide when to tell another person about it or how to control your adrenaline and seek help is when you go to an adult or a teacher to get help to suspend a person or try to make the bully stop bullying you. We should use wits so that we could not get in fights and don get your face ruined.Wits is always there to use.
